You don’t need to spend a lot of money on tech and gadgets to automate things in your smart life. In this episode I do a quick introduction to the IFTTT, If this then that service which allows you to connect 2 services together and automate when something happens on one, do something on the other. IFTTT works with everything from smart home technology such as Amazon Alexa, to your social media profiles, email accounts, Google Spreadsheets and more.

The possibilities are endless in terms of what you can do. It’s setup is really simple, sign up for IFTTT.com or download the app on your phone and simply connect to the services you want to automate. For example, *if* you sms your phone ‘ring ring’ *then* turn the volume on your android device to 100% and ring. Simple as that! check it out at www.ifttt.com
